About the event
Your East Creek workshop will include everything you need to make wood, pit, and raku pots, besides the pots themselves. It also includes use of the studio and facilities during the firing, free camping for the duration of your trip, and use of our well equipped outdoor kitchen and grill. Just sign up for each element to make your trip how you'd like!
Basics -10 spots available
-includes: 3cf wood, 3cf pit, 3cf raku incl glaze and wadding, camping accommodation, and studio use during firing time.
-Base price: $395
Add-ons:
-Bunkhouse bed: $45/night (5 available)
-Meal plan: 9 days of food (April 3-11) incl breakfast, lunch, and dinner. High end, local food. Includes all special meals, including arrival meal, pig roast, and paella. BYO snacks and booze. $480/person.
-Arrival meal Fri, April 3 in the studio: grilled salmon, fiddleheads, spring greens, seasonal risotto, $35/person.
-Friday night April 10 group firing meal and celebration: Pig Roast: $20
-Saturday night April 11 meal Paella with local seafood: $25
-Camping equipment rental: $25/night (3 sets avail.)
Week off:
The kiln will be cooling April 12-17. Here's some fun stuff you can do during that time:
-Studio pass 24/7: $145/week or $40/day (firing and clay additional- $50/bisque load, $10/bag)
-Tiny cabin rental: $95/night (1 full bed)
-A-Frame Rental: $150/night (queen + 2 twins)
-Bunkhouse: $45/night
-Coast Trip with Joe: Leave wed night, April 15, return Friday mid-day. Stay in Joe's family vacation home overlooking Tillamook Bay, about 1 hour from EC. Fish for crabs on the jetty, walk on the beach, etc. Check out the Tillamook Cheese Factory. Friday night seafood meal prepared by Joe from Garabaldi docks trip. There are 2 bedrooms available, each with a queen bed. $450/person double occupancy, $650/person solo. $200/person Friday activities and dinner. Transportation included.
-Special private wine tour at Lazy River Vineyard: $60-200/person depending on spread and wine. High end OR pinot noir- inquire by emial.
