About The Event
Throwing Larger with Joe
10 people max. Indoor/Outdoor. Beginner friendly.
Friday, September 8 2023 10:00a- Sunday September 10 5:00p.
Join Joe Robinson increasing the size of wares you can make on the potters wheel. If the 7 day masterclass is a bit much for you, but you still want to center more clay, pull taller pots, and make larger bowls, you're in the right place.
We'll start off with introductions and goal setting, followed by demonstrations and 1:1 coaching. We'll touch on the biomechanics of the body while throwing and give tips on how to maximize your output. We'll talk about using the right materials for the job, and strategic throwing, a more planful approach in which we're always considering the next move.
When you're not in the studio, enjoy the beautiful East Creek campus, hang out by the creek, go for a hike, or explore the local logging culture of Willamina, OR.
