Wheel Week: Throwing Large Masterclass
7 days instruction/demo/making: July 22-28 10a-4p
Join Joe Robinson for his premier summer throwing workshop offering, the Throwing Large Masterclass. In this 7 day workshop, all participants, including Joe, will be charged with building the largest wheel thrown pot of their life. This year, Joe will attempt a 300+lb. pot that's in excess of 5 feet tall.
The workshop will be broken into three sections, though they are not separately bookable. Day 4 is an opportunity to take a break. In the past, some participants have spent a night at the beach, gone home, etc.
Warm up, instruction, and coaching period: 2 days
We'll meet to discuss the current skill set of the group, then dive into making, instruction, and demos. You'll have the opportunity to receive lecture style throwing instruction as well as 1:1 coaching. Instruction emphasis is to grow from where you are-…
