About The Event
Studio Making Retreat with Joe Robinson
$195/peson, 12 people max, 4 people minumum.
Indoor/Outdoor. Beginner friendly.
Saturday, September 19 10:00a- Sunday Septemebr 20 4:00p
Join Joe Robinson for two days of wheel throwing and handbuilding making at East Creek’s beautiful indoor/outdoor studio space. Joe will share 20 years of experience and East Creek’s considerable studio tool suite.
Your work will be bisque fired and delivered back to the Morning Ceramics studio, where you can also participate in the (optional) raku firing on Tuesday, October 13 at the Morning studio.
Among other demos (including requests) Joe will demo and share: 50 lb, 2-part pot, Making/Using large slabs from East Creek’s industrial slab roller, making small additions to clay bodies, and attachment of handles to wet pots. Demos and work time will be provided, and each participant can choose whether to attend each demo or keep working. Individual coaching and critique time will be built in to both days between demos. Questions about personal work and projects will be happily answered. On Saturday night, we’ll make covid friendly personal wood fired pizzas.

A-Frame Cabin Booking
Private booking of the East Creek A-Frame cabin with 1 queen and 2 twin beds. The rustic cabin has no power and is a work in progress- think of it as a comfy alternative to a tent!
Tiny Cabin Booking
Private booking of 8x12' tiny cabin with full bed.
Raku Workshop @ Morning Studio
Tuesday, October 13. Includes 1.5 cubic feet of raku space and all required glazes, materials, etc. Bring your own bisque to glaze and fire. Rolling 4-hour time slots 9-6.
