This firing is totally full - for interested people, we're offering a limited engagement: $100 to fire one 9" pot (or 2 cups) and a shared meal. Non-firing visitors are welcome

Chris Pate will be leading a reduction cooled firing of the anagama after spending the fall working at the East Creek studio. Pate has done extensive research into reduction cooled wood fired pottery, most recently as a year long resident in the ceramics department at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. In 2017 he led an extremely successful reduction cooled firing of the anagama to coincide with NCECA Portland, and we'll be building on what we learned from that firing.
