Advanced techniques like local clay inclusion, colored wadding, mark making, lustering and decaling finished work, alternative wadding, and more will be covered.
Each student will have the opportunity to fire 8 cubic feet of work at east creek, including 3 cf catenary, 1 cf anagama, 2 cf pit firing, and 2 cf raku. The pit and raku firings will take place during the wood firing in late October. The catenary unloading takes place on the saturday before halloween- optional free camping and a halloween party after the unload. The anagama unloads on Saturday, Nov. 27.
On Friday night Sept. 24 we’ll make personal wood fired pizzas. Camping and pizza dough/sauce are included, BYO toppings and beverages. Dinner on your own saturday night- go to town for a restaraunt meal or use the shared kitchen/grill here at East Creek.
