Join Joe Robinson for two days of advanced raku at East Creek’s beautiful indoor/outdoor studio space. Learn about and try your hand at various raku techniques including reduced and un-reduced raku, utilizing underglazes, horsehair raku, foil saggar firing in the raku kiln, and raku kiln building and setup, including propane basics.
Schedule:
Saturday:
-10:00a arrival, orientation and setup
-moring lecture, glazing demos, and kiln building afternoon work time, evening firing, campfire
Sunday:
-breakfast on your own (use our outdoor kitchen)
-morning firing
-afternoon personal coaching, questions, and wrap up.
Optional:
-Tiny Cabin stay
-bunkhouse bed stay
-Stay on Sunday night and extend your unguided work time into Monday. You can decide this on Sunday. Email joe@eastcreekart.org if you'd like to reserve cabin space.
